Mulla ‘Ali Dizaji Ahari writes to Hujjat al-Islam about the demand of the Department of Taxes in Ahar that he and his wife, the daughter of Karbalayi ‘Abbas, pay taxes based on their belonging to the Qarachurlu clan. He states that they do not belong to the Qarachurlu clan; also argues that taxing of women is not common, and asks the addressee to mediate with the head of the Tax Department. On the margin, Ayatollah Sadiq Tababayi has requested Amin al-Ulama’ to review this case.
